We first met Sophie and Robbie at a One Fine Day wedding fair on a hot and humid Sydney day.
When we found out they were doing things a little differently and hosting their intimate wedding in their newly renovated backyard, we knew we were a match made in heaven. Yep, probably an even better match than the couple themselves.
In Sophie’s words, they wanted a photographer who could “stick with us at home through the preparation, to party time in our backyard.”
“We love our neighbourhood – it’s diverse, and vibrant and amazing and loud and we’d love to capture it in our photographs! We’re trying to plan a day that’s intimate and not-too-fancy pants”
“Our only request for the day? Please don’t make us pose and do the jumping-in-the-air and posing-with-umbrellas stuff…”
We would NEVER. Unless you were into that kinda thing, then I guess we would.
The couple’s brief fit perfectly with our lovely Lara, so we shipped her off to Sophie and Robbie’s big day and she came back with some epically gorgeous shots, as you’re about to see below.
