According to Rupert and Bronia, they met “unromantically” at a bar in Canberra. But we disagree and think that in 2019, with Tinder now the norm, bars are probably one of the more romantic places you can meet.
Even so, Rupert proposed in one of the most romantic ways possible – on a sunset yacht cruise in Hawaii!
Their wedding was held at the beautiful Lennox Gardens by the lake in Canberra, with a reception to follow at the infamous (and close by) green gardens of the Hyatt Hotel.
“We wanted everything outside, and it meant our guests didn’t need to fuss about and change locations. We love summer and sunshine, and we have run around Lennox Gardens together so many times that it just made sense,” says Bronia.
The couple also wanted one big party and to spend as much time with guests as possible. So, they minimised all the formalities and smoked up the dance floor with a choreographed dance that really showed their personalities. It. Was. Brilliant!
As for the couple’s thoughts on their photos from our whiz Lara and admin extraordinaire Heather?
“This whole team are total stars, Heather sorted us out from day one, and Lara was the total personality fit for our day. We were actually sad when we said goodbye to her at the reception!” says Bronia.
