2020 is the year Simone and Aaron have been together for 10 years. So, it was only fitting they secured their relationship by tying the knot.
“We both met in our first year of uni at a mutual friend’s birthday in the city,” says Simone.
“We started talking to each other to set up our best friends who actually got married 3 weeks before us. He bought me a vodka, Coke and raspberry, and we got talking and the rest was history. We actually served this on our wedding night too!”
Shot by our legendary Lara, this wedding day came with a few memorable moments. The first was right before Simone walked down the aisle…
“We both felt excited that the day was finally here,” she explains.
“We did it! We knew it was only the beginning of what was going to be the best day ever!”
The second was their first dance together…
“Two days before the wedding, we thought we’d learn a few moves to incorporate in our first dance. And it was so much fun! Everyone thought we got professional lessons. I’m lucky that Aarons a really good dancer.”
And the third was a piece of advice from the priest that we think every couple should know before their big day…
“Our priest was like “ensure you guys embrace that moment. It’s such an intimate moment. Don’t break eye contact and keep looking into each other’s eyes – no one else matters right now except for each of you”. And that’s what we did.
Simone and Aaron also had a few unforgettable words to say about our Lara.
“Lara was simply amazing. From when we first met her during our couple shoot. She was so cool and easy to get along with. We even used our couple shoot photos on the day because we loved them so much! Our welcome sign, church booklet and on our table numbers. She made the process seamless. Our family and friends loved her – she bought along a calm presence on the day.”
