Brendan and Tamara have a “once-upon-a-tinder-match” kind of love story.

He asked her out on a picnic date at Nara Peace Park in Canberra, and while it had the potential to be packed awkward silent voids, filled with sips of wine, bites of food and the sound of crickets, it was anything but. Instead, they talked for seven hours straight and didn’t eat a thing.

“It was definitely one of those ‘when you know, you know’ moments,” says Tamara.

“Brendan is my soulmate and very best friend, he completes me. Cliché I know but it’s the truth.”

Their wedding, which was held at the Yarralumla Woolshed, had an authentic rustic vibe, inspired by their venue. Most of the elements were handmade by Tamara and her mother, including the floral chandeliers, signs and table centrepieces, and gosh did they photograph beautifully.

But our absolute favourite part to photograph (apart from the tear jerking-ly beautiful ceremony, written by Tamara herself), was the couple’s first dance.

“We started off just the two of us and then got our three babies to join us,” says Tamara.

“We were officially a family.”

Grab a couple of tissues and tuck into these photos shot by our talented lad, James.
